C. and surrounding area.  From tacos, sandwiches and pizza to pies, cupcakes and more; you’ll find ethnic meals, American favs and yummy deserts that you can dine on the cheap —–Check out below some of their cheap eats at food spots and click here to get the entire list. Dumplings from Mandu:  Where: There are two locations — on 18th Street and on K Street. - Cost: $4 dumplings every day during happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Recommended by Emma Lord. Korean tacos from Far East Taco Grille:  Where: Find them at 409 15th St. NE, or follow @FarEastTG on Twitter to see where their food truck will be next.  Cost: Three tacos for $8; burritos for around $9.  Recommended by dinersaur. Build your own pizza — with unlimited toppings — at &pizza.  Where: There are nine locations throughout the D.C. metro area, plus locations at Washington National and Dulles International airports.  Cost: Less than $10. Prices vary by location.  Recommended by Mallory O’Connor, Facebook. Tacos, for breakfast, lunch, or dinner from District Taco:  Where: Three locations in D.C. — Dupont Circle, Eastern Market, and Metro Center — with locations in Arlington and Alexandria.  Cost: Three tacos for $8.  “District Taco is unfairly delicious!” — Alex Levin, Facebook A slice of pie or quiche from Dangerously Delicious Pies:  Where: Find them on H Street or in Chinatown, or follow @ThePieTruckDC on Twitter to see if they’ll be in your neighborhood.  Cost: $6.50–7.50 per slice.  Recommended by Zao Huang, Facebook. A stuffed-to-the-max pita sandwich from Amsterdam Falafel Shop:  Where: There are three locations in the District — on 18th Street NW, 14th Street NW, and L’Enfant Plaza — and other locations in Arlington, Somerville, and Annapolis.  Cost: Around $7.  Recommended by Xinwei Zeng, Facebook. A sweet or savory empanada from Julia’s Empanadas:  Where: Julia’s has three locations in the District — in Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, and Brightwood.  Cost: $4.18 for savory; $2.50 for sweet.  Recommended by Becka Wall, Facebook. A cupcake from Baked and Wired:  Where: Find them in Georgetown at 1052 Thomas Jefferson St. NW.  Cost: $3.85 per cupcake.  Recommended by molliecatherineh A grilled cheese deluxe from FoBoGro:  Where: Find them at 2140 F St. NW.  Cost: $3.99 for the grilled cheese deluxe; $5–9 for other sandwiches.  Recommended by Andy Lieberman, Facebook. Pan con chicharron or lomo saltado from El Fuego Food Truck:  Where: Follow @elFuegoDc on Twitter to see where they’ll be next.  Cost: $10.  Recommended by gavriek and sourfruitpunch. The spicy lemongrass pho at Pho Viet:  Where: Find them at 3513 14th St. NW.  Cost: Around $9.  Recommended by Tashween Ali. The homemade toaster pastries from Ted’s Bulletin:  Where: There are two D.C. locations — on 8th St. SE and 14th St. NW — and locations in Fairfax, Reston, and Gaithersburg.  Cost: Substitute toast with a toaster pastry (it’s just like a Pop-Tart) at breakfast for around $2.  Recommended by dariennp.
